Tonight is Gustavo's debut conducting the LA Philharmonic! At the Hollywood Bowl! I've been very excited (almost to the point of giddyness!) about this and his arrival. Dudamania has hit LA pretty hard. If you live in LA I'm sure you've seen all the signs on lampposts, buses, billboards etc that feature his face and a word in Spanish such as BIENVENIDO or PASION.

I would have love to have gone, but the free tickets were gone in minutes. And scalpers were trying to sell them for $1600! If you, like me, are unable to make it, you can watch the stream online here. Or if you're not doing anything tonight, I highly suggest you make yourself comfortable in front of your computer and watch.

The night will end with fireworks after Beethoven's Ode to Joy!

Hi, I was sick for most of last week, thus the lack of posts. I am pretty much back to functioning normally now. I just hope I don't get sick again!
